This Temperature and Humidity Transducer is suitable for commercial building automation systems, airports, subways, agricultural and freezer applications. The sensor element directly embeds into a waterproof connector that plugs into a mating connector on the cable, allowing you to swap the sensor for calibration and commissioning easily without tools.
You can connect the sensor via its RS485 port and configure it in the field for either Modbus and Bacnet protocols. With the optional analog outputs the device and send the signals over two 0-10V or 4-20mA, making it easy to tie in with traditional analog controllers.
The sensor has several options for mounting in rooms, ducts, freezers, green houses, outdoor on the side of the building. You can connect up to 255 devices on a single RS485 twisted pair, but the practical limitation is around 30 devices to simplify the commissining and cable maintenance.
The plastic enclosure has a rubber gasket which gives the sensor an IP rating of IP65 meaning it can withstand intermittent low pressure splashing. The sensor probe is similarly well protected from the elements for mounting in green houses or clean rooms with intermittent spray washing for example. The outdoor version has a sun shield to protect from direct sunlight and rain.
Power can be provided with 24vac, several devices can be in parallel of a single transformer. When powering with DC the supply voltage can go down as low as 12VDC for the RS485 only model. When using the analog output version you shoud power with at least 15VDC, on up to 28VDC max.
