A number of parties have expressed interest in getting a Sedona engine operating in the controller and there are now funds available to support this work. The funds are paid out as bounties to various programmers working on the open source project. Now for some details about Sedona and where we’re heading:<\/p>\n

Thanks to the work of the folks at Sedona.org you can get Sedona running on the Pi in a few minutes, here’s the instructions for installing the Sedona Virtual Machine, or ‘SVM’ on the raspberry Pi: http:\/\/www.sedonadev.org\/download\/demo\/tridium-rpi-sedona-io-min.zip\/README.txt.<\/p>\n

There are many details to take care of ahead of us as we merge the original C++ project and the Sedona engine. Thanks to the ample resources of the Pi there is plenty of rom and ram to run all of this with room to spare for future features like php and web services to come.<\/p>\n

For a preview of where we’re heading, this is the view of a standard T3 controller as seen through Niagara AX Workbench. An output in the T3 controller is being set up to go on and of according to a schedule, this is easy to set up using the PC as the controller running Niagara AX Workbench. The next step will be to do the same thing but with the Sedona engine running directly on the Pi.<\/p>\n
